Dr. Esther Lam

BVMS (Glasgow), MRCVS

Senior Head Veterinarian

Dr. Esther graduated from the UK, University of Glasgow. She was in the Dean's scholars list in University of Glasgow and has been awarded with excellence in pharmacology and pathology. She is also a member in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. 

Since then, she has worked in PDSA (UK's leading vet charity) and many busy practices in Singapore. She is passionate about animal welfare and strives continually to ease pets' discomfort and stress. 

With her experience, she has seen and interacted with many pets with extreme anxiety in a clinic setting.

This has prompted Dr. Esther to take on a Fear-Free certification and she is now leading one of the only Fear-Free clinic in Singapore. Her calm and gentle manner has helped pets feel at ease in the clinic, reducing their anxiety and earned the trust of many patients, even those who hates vets! 

Dr Esther strongly believes in Continuous Profession Development and is in the midst of gaining more knowledge on Chinese Medicine as well as Acupuncture.

Dr. Esther's special interests are in internal medicine, ultrasonography and exotics medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Esther enjoys playing the piano, violin and leisure swimming. 


Jackie

Practice Manager

Jackie's passion in animal welfare and veterinary care has led him to work at many different veterinary clinics before settling down in Paws N' Claws Veterinary Surgery. 

His motivations are closely aligned in this practice and under the guidance of Dr. Esther, Jackie is trained in Fear-free concepts, handling and will often be the first person to provide you with guidance and support for your anxious pets.

Outside of work, Jackie enjoys playing badminton and mahjong.


Faylinn

Veterinary Nurse

Faylinn's interest and dedication to helping animals have led her to further her studies and career in this industry. She joined Paws N' Claws Veterinary Surgery as it is the first Fear-free concept clinic in Singapore.

Faylinn has prior animal handling experience from individual rescuing and fostering of feline and now in Paws N' Claws Veterinary Surgery, she has the opportunity to learn from Dr. Esther who is a Fear-Free professional and many other highly trained and experienced nurses before her prospective studies in University of Adelaide, BSc (Veterinary Bioscience) and Doctor in Veterinary Medicine. 

Outside of work, Faylinn is involved in softball activities and spends quality time with her 6 cats and 1 dog.
